Spring is almost here (we hope!) and in Northern NY, that means it is sugaring season! Spend the day with Fort Drum's Natural Resources Team as they celebrate one of nature's amazing natural resources...the sugar maple tree! Experience the process of making pure maple syrup...from tree to table. Learn about Fort Drum's "sugar bush" and the history of the maple syrup industry. See first hand how sap is boiled down into syrup. Take a walk on our self guided nature walk. Sample some freshly made syrup and other maple treats! If Mother Nature cooperates, we hope to have syrup available for purchase as well. This event is a free, family friendly event! Rain or Shine!
