WHAT IS A SOLAR ECLIPSE? A solar eclipse is a celestial event where the sun, moon, and earth line up perfectly so that the moon casts a shadow on the sun! Bring the whole family to Thompson Park to watch the solar eclipse! Light refreshments will be provided while they last followed by s'mores on our bio fuel stoves. Youth activities will include building their own solar viewer, building and launching rockets, and geocaching, all while learning about the solar eclipse.
