Watertown native Bob Comenole will be reading from his book of Christmas Tales as well as his latest work, “Watertown Farrago,” a collection of north country tales, on Friday, December 14th, beginning at 6:30pm at The Reading Room. Bob is the author of several other books, including “Perplexed by the Egg” (short stories); “God’s Cot” (novel); “Fables & Illusions” (folk tales); and “Bushel & Lamp” (essays and verse). All his books will be available at The Reading Room for purchase, and for Bob to sign. ??For over 20 years Bob taught writing, literature and communications at several colleges, including Miami University, Siena College, the State University of New York and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2007, he founded the Waterline Writers Academy, which offers creative writing courses across New York and New England. The recipient of several writing awards, he was also a fellow at the Bennington Writing Seminar. Bob’s a two-time winner of the North Country Writers Festival (for fiction and essay), and is completing work on a new book of humorous essays. Bob’s writing has appeared in The Black River Review, Café Irreal, transition, and other journals. His “Christmas Tales” have been published as full-page serial fiction in several American newspapers.??“Watertown Farrago” is a collection of essays and fiction that have appeared in the Watertown Daily Times and other newspapers, recently completed local tales, as well as texts of his contributions to the North Country Writers Festival.
