YOUNG LEADERS ORGANIZATION TO HOST SEVENTH ANNUAL CHARITY CHRISTMAS MASQUERADE BALL
Clayton, New York –The Thousand Islands Young Leaders Organization (TIYLO) 7th Annual Christmas Masquerade Ball is returning to the Antique Boat Museum on Friday December 4th, 2015 from 8pm to midnight! All community members in the region are encouraged to attend this celebration. All proceeds directly benefit local families in need during the Christmas season in the 1000 Islands Region! Presale tickets can be purchased easily online at www.TIYLO.org or at the Clayton Chamber of Commerce for only $35(otherwise $40 at the door).
The tradition continues with live entertainment provided by the ever popular Fred and the Eds! The event will also feature a cash bar to enjoy, catered hors d'oeuvres from Bella’s and amazing silent and live auction items from local businesses - offering the perfect opportunity for Christmas shopping. To help capture memories of all this fun, a photo booth will be available from Bova Photography along with a surprise gift just for you!
This is a festive and formal event; we recommend stepping out in your finest to celebrate a good cause! For men that means anything from a tie to a suit to a tux. Women, consider anything from your favorite cocktail to an evening dress. Masks are highly encouraged, but not required. Mask sales will be available at the door, starting at just $5.
Over the past six years, owing to the community's overwhelming support, this event has been able to contribute over $35,000 to help local families. This year, all proceeds will benefit the "Clayton Christmas Fund", a fundraiser conducted by the Clayton Sons of the American Legion Squadron #821 and the local Boy Scout Troop #46, the Hearts For Youth Organization in Alexandria Bay, the food pantries of Clayton, Depauville, Cape Vincent, Alexandria Bay, Redwood, Orleans and Hammond, the BackPack Programs of Alexandria Central, Indian River and Hammond Central Schools — and now also Lafargeville Central. On top of all that, TIYLO is establishing a new Leadership Scholarship Fund through the NNY Community Foundation. The scholarship will soon be available to regional high school seniors who demonstrate leadership and excellence, as exemplified through academic achievement and extracurricular activities, including commitment to community service.
