TITLE: Occupational Therapist (Three Positions)
LOCATION: Jefferson County Region (One Position)
Component Districts in Jefferson County
Lewis County Region (Two Positions)
One Part time (.6 FTW) with initial assignment at Town of Webb, 3 days per week, Old Forge, New York
One Full Position with Initial assignment at South Lewis Central School, Turin, New York (Start Date January 2025)
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Provide occupational therapy services to students with disabilities as well as those identified as benefiting from service
• Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to therapy and learning.
• Record and report student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues in general education.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist
• Knowledge of the AOTA Standards and Practices
• Knowledge of school-based therapy
• Experience with diagnostic tools
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
$54,155-56,355 annual salary commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association.
