Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is conducting a search for a Business Advisor – Small Business Development Center.
This position provides a comprehensive range of small business based assistance including one-to-one client counseling in the area of business plan development. The position also analyzes, prepares, and structures financial statements such as cash flow projections, income statements, and sources. Additionally provides assistance in automated and manual record keeping systems and assists clients with market related issues such as advertising, promotional functions, market surveys, and other related areas.
Required: Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree; experience working in or owning a small business; two or more years of experience in financial administration and reporting; strong general business acumen and knowledge of Northern New York business climate a plus.
