TITLE: School Social Worker, M.S.W.

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES with initial assignment at
Lewis County ACES Program, Lowville, NY 13367

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible. 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $55,687-57,887. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies. This is a 10-month position. Opportunities available for clinical supervision if eligible.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Provide individual and group counseling to students with disabilities
• Assist CSE’s in conducting initial evaluations
• Assess, document, and report student progress on counseling goals
• Collaborate with a team of educators serving students
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, school personnel, CSE’s, and community agencies

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in social work (Licensure preferred) and New York State Certification as a School Social Worker required. Demonstrated successful student counseling experience.
