LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES Administration Building
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
•Pursuing and promoting a program to reduce districts energy consumption and costs.
•Performing onsite inspections of buildings’ energy systems, performing energy calculations andassisting districts with the implementation of various energy savings strategies.
•Collecting data and conducting benchmarking analysis for all district buildings.
•Developing energy reduction programs through upgrades, retrofits, or installation of new equipment.This includes measurement while school is in session and after-hours.
•Working with district staff to implement energy conservation measures (i.e., turning off lights, turningoff computer equipment when not in use).
•Working with the Transportation Department to investigate the electrical needs for conversion tomandated electric buses, including electrical entrance size, usage, time of day pricing, and storagepotential.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS Registered four year college with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental, chemical, or health related field:
OR
Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS Registered college with an associate’s degree in engineering, environmental, chemical, or health related field and two years of experience in occupational safety, environmental technology or related field.
Preferred degree and/or experience in electrical engineering
Applicant must meet civil service requirements and pass a civil service examination with results being reachable status.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $43,000-$60,000. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement.
