LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES Administration Building
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: This position involves responsibility and knowledge of the latest audio/video technology and be capable of producing high quality,
visually appealing content. The candidate should also demonstrate
proficiency in shooting, editing, and producing videos for educational,
instructional, or promotional purposes. The incumbent may be
responsible in assisting in preparing the audio-visual budget and in
purchasing equipment. The work is performed under the general
supervision of the Assistant School Superintendent with leeway allowed
for the use of independent judgment in carrying out technical activities
of the job. The incumbent does related work as required. This is a 12
month position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate degree in audio-visual technology, communications technology or closely related field; OR
(B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two years of experience in the operation of a variety of audio-visual equipment including videotape recorders, television and still cameras, record players, etc.; OR
(C) Graduation from high school with a regionally accredited technical endorsement in audio-visual technology, communications technology or closely related field.
Applicant must meet civil service requirements and pass a civil service examination with results being reachable status.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $35,000-$39,500. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement.
