POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Title of Position: PARENTING EDUCATOR CREDENTIAL COORDINATOR
Details of Position: F/T, 40 hrs/wk, $20.00/hr
Location of Position: CCE Jefferson County, 203 N. Hamilton St., Watertown
About the Position:
This position will serve as the Parenting Educator Credential Coordinator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County in support of the New York State Parenting Education Partnership (NYSPEP). This position will be responsible for the oversight, implementation, and marketing of the Parenting Educator Credential program. Will work with the Executive and Steering Committees, as well as relevant workgroups to implement best practice strategies and recommendations. This position is responsible for the credential application process; recruitment and training of Parenting Educator Credential mentors and promoting the Parenting Educator Credential and the importance of quality parenting education throughout NYS. This position is responsible to further develop and to grow the New York State Parenting Educator Credential program.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (Associate’s Degree and 2 years of transferrable program/functional experience) in education, human services, or related field.
- Experience relevant to the role of the position.
- Knowledge of credentialling systems.
- Must begin the Parenting Education Credential process within the first six (6) months of hire; and complete within two (2) years of hire.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
- Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
