Sales Data Specialist

The Sales Data Specialist will work with the Director of Sales Operations/Analytics to support sales planning and analytics. They will assist with the establishment and streamlining of policies and procedures throughout the department and adhere to best practices in sales forecasting, reporting and communication. Responsibilities will include data entry, reporting, market research and competitive analysis to increase Renzi’s overall profitability.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze Renzi’s daily route & item profitability reports and identifying appropriate actions to seek full understanding of the sales strategy for below cost selling.
  • Assist with input for the annual company budget.
  • Data entry and support for monthly sales goals.
  • Collect data from sales reports and submit to Director of Sales Operations/Analytics for analysis against budget and previous year’s sales.
  • Monthly review of item price structure and propose adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist with all Request for Proposals (RFPs), bids, price analysis for all segments of Renzi’s business.
  • Assist with manufacturer allowance requests.
  • Run quarterly customer rebate reports.
  • Review customer type and item class standards profitability on a quarterly basis.
  • Support and develop sales promotions tracking in partnership with the marketing and purchasing teams.
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of food distribution industry, pricing strategies, trends, regulations, networks.
  • Build adhoc reports as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and two to four years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence, 
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Proficient on accounting software, database, spreadsheet (excel), and word processing, internet, inventory software, and order processing. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
