Job Overview:
The Territory Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships by providing expert advice on roofing products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a desire to succeed in a competitive market. This role involves working closely with customers, understanding their roofing needs, and offering tailored solutions that meet their budget and expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Customer Engagement:
- Identify potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online leads, and canvassing.
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess roofing needs and provide accurate, customized estimates.
- Present and explain roofing products and services to customers, highlighting benefits and addressing any concerns.
- Close sales by understanding customer needs and effectively negotiating pricing and terms.

Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular follow-ups and exceptional service.
- Address customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with the project management and installation teams to deliver quality roofing solutions.

Product Knowledge and Expertise:
- Stay updated on the latest roofing products, materials, and industry trends.
- Provide customers with knowledgeable advice on product options, including material types, warranties, and installation processes.
- Attend training sessions and company meetings to continuously improve product knowledge and sales techniques.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed sales proposals and contracts for customers.
- Use CRM software to track sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.
- Report sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to the Sales Manager.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team to share insights, strategies, and best practices.
- Partner with the marketing team to support local advertising campaigns and promotional events.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of roofing projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
- Experience in customer service or account management is beneficial.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with customers and understand their needs.
- Proficiency in CRM software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of roofing products and services is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
