TITLE: Pre-Technical Academy Teacher
LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES with initial assignment at Sackett Technical Center, Glenfield, New York
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a teacher assistant and a team of educators to provide career exploration through a project-based integrated approach. Duties include:
? Collaborate with English and Social Studies teacher and local industry representatives to develop project-based, problem solving activities that align to the Common Core Learning Standards
? Develop students 21st Century skills in the context of exploration of the 16 national career clusters

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess or be eligible for NYS Certification in any Career and Technical Education area. A complete list may be found at http://eservices.nysed.gov/teach/certhelp/CertRequirementHelp.do
Dual Certification in an academic area preferred.
Experience / Training in project-based learning preferred. Applicants with business, agriculture, manufacturing or skilled trades experience preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: $52,249-$59,314. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association.
