Stock Clerk (Staff with Disabilities) - Central Issue Facility - Fort Drum

**As an organization that provides services to the disabled; our first priority in filling these positions will be to staff the project with individuals who have physical, intellectual or psychological disabilities. **

 

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work – Up to 40 hours per week; generally Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.  Hours are subject to change in accordance with requirements of the operation. Must be prepared to work contingency overtime to meet the needs of the operation.  Overtime may be scheduled on any day of the week, and at any hour. 

 

Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED and three years relevant work experience. Minimum one year experience working with developmentally disabled preferred. General knowledge of government regulations, forms, and operating procedures is desirable. Ability to organize information systematically is required. Customer service experience is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - no restrictions. 

 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance – Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.

 

Summary/Objective - Perform administrative functions for issue, turn-in, direct exchange, temporary loan and bulk issue of organizational clothing and individual equipment (OCIE).

 

Essential Functions – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Make issues, turn-ins and direct exchanges to authorized customers.  Verify that correct sizes are issued.  Record item quantities and sizes issued and turned in on OCIE record.  Be able to fit soldiers to their proper sizes on certain OCIE items.
  2. Inspect each item issued or turned-in for cleanliness and serviceability.  Keep issue bins stocked and ensure items are clean and serviceable prior to issuing.  Keep designated areas in a high state of cleanliness.
  3. Assist in conducting scheduled and special inventories.  Assist in conducting location survey prior to inventory.
  4. Assist with shipping, receiving and stocking in warehouse.

Supervisory Responsibility – N/A

 

Travel – May require travel to and from outlying warehouses/buildings within Fort Drum area.

 

Work Environment - This job operates in a busy warehouse and/or customer service environment. This role routinely uses standard warehousing equipment such as fork lifts and pallet jacks. May also use standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and photocopiers as needed.

Wage Range - $23.07/Hour, Includes Health and Welfare
